I purchased a TV from Dell, I got the 4year warranty, I felt I was beeing safe. The mother board went on the TV so they offered a replacement for the TV. The TV offered is Half the price that I payed, and I can`t get any one from Dell to talk to about this issue.
I`m pissed this has been going on for a month.

The dirty secret they don't tell you is that "Dell TVs" have no parts or service support at all. Maybe a remote, tops.

Actually they can be worked on, I've seen one apart at a shop. Just that Dell makes no arrangements for support. All they can do is send you another one.

Now, do you mean the replacement they're sending is not the same VALUE as the one you bought? Prices do change and panel TV prices have fallen dramatically.

No sense wasting time with Dell on the phone, they are very unlikely to budge.

If you thought you were going to get one that cost the same as the one you purchased, you're insane. That's not how replacement warrantees work.

Read your fine print... it probably has language similar to "will be replaced with a unit of like value". This means that it'll be a unit of similar specs and internals, not similar price. With advancements in electronics and technology, its ludicrous to believe that if you buy a $2000 tv 3 years ago that you'll get a $2000 tv in exchange.

That'd be like totalling your $3000 car and expecting a $10,000 check to buy a new one. Just not good business.
