Re: Why I no longer will be ANY dell. 20 year customer leavi

Not surprising. We get a lot of testimonies from people who remember back when Dell was decent with their products and service, who now notice that it has all gone to junk. Dell is something absolutely different now.

Re: How the Dell XPS sucks. Some reasons why Dell XPS sucks.

I used to have an XPS 1530 notebook computer. It went bad due to a defect. A video card issue. I called them with that knowledge to make sure that they knew that I knew that. The person on the phone did acknowledge it and said there was a one year extension in the warranty because of it. And I was s...

Re: Inspiron=CRAP

They also tried to pinch that much money from me. $199 I think it was. In my case, the extra warranty and the addition year because of the defective part had all expired. But they wanted me to pay that much for them to replace the faulty parts with the same parts. So I may potentially have the same ...

Re: My XPS M1530 notebook don't work no mo'

My sister gave me her old Acer Aspire 3050 notebook computer. The Windows XP on it or something was messed up and took up the whole 40 GB hard drive. So I used my Dell restore disc to format the drive and re-install Windows XP, but used the product key code from the sticker on the Acer notebook. I m...

Re: Dell loses another long-time customer

I'm wondering if Dell actually wants people to spread the word of their slap-in-the-face tech support to discourage other people from calling them. As for sales, I guess they're still raking in figures from people who don't know about all this and still buy Dell products from brand name recognition....

Good lord. If Dell has standards and requirements, like knowledge of their products, to be an online tech support person, that guy must have fallen through the cracks and got in somehow.

Well I did my own working on the notebook computer. One that I felt was more appropriate to this particular notebook. Check out the video. Trust me, it's not a boring video.

Re: Dell I loved, the Customers I hated

I guess it goes both ways. Good and bad with the callers and the Dell tech people. I know what it's like dealing with people who aren't good with computers. Like let's say I'm gonna upload a large video file to YouTube for someone. The file is nearly a gigabyte in file size. The upload will take a w...

Re: My XPS M1530 notebook don't work no mo'

I got an email from Dell today regarding my notebook computer. The subject heading is "Dell Customer Experience Survey Invitation". The email states the same case number. Well, this ought to be good. I may do the survey and really tell them what I honestly think. EDIT: I finished the surve...

Re: Dell shows no drivers available for the Dimension E310

I had obstacles like this when I restored my XPS 400 desktop. It couldn't find the driver for the internet thing, I think the PCI or something. It couldn't go online through the network cable. It occurred to me to use my USB wireless adapter and I installed the software and did that. Then Windows do...

Re: New person here

That is true about the XPS 400, which I found out at some point after I bought one. Not just by looking at the inside of it because at the time I didn't have much knowledge for components. But I read about it, researched, picked up on information, that sort of thing. I don't just click things on the...

Re: My XPS M1530 notebook don't work no mo'

I Do you think it's worth $199 to replace the motherboard in an XPS notebook from 2008 that has Windows Vista It's not worth spending another pennie on it. You can go buy a nice used Laptop thats not a Dhell that will more than outlast the one you luckly managed to get more than a year of use out o...
