I used to work at dell a while back, not sure if this is the right place for my post, please let me know if I need to move it. Anyway, I recently found a uncashed paycheck from 2007 in 2009, I know it was uncashed because it was one of those ADP checks and usually Id get a notification letter from dell informing me that the check had been DireTDeposite'd, however since this was my final paycheck it was a live stub. So i attempted to cash the check a few weeks back, and got a stop-payment notice for the check - not suprised, I called dell - the 512 # youre suppsd to call to get checks re-issued, and they said that they have no record of the check being sent from payroll, and I have the paystub in my hand that i'm giving him details from and he claimed that it was sent from some other dept... anyway does anyone know of anyway that I can get this check re-issued - it wasn't a commissions check it was the salary check they send out every 2 weeks or whatever so it was a decent amount of money. thanks in advance

You in Texas? About the only law Texas has that favors employees is that you must be paid for hours worked. Everything else is 'negotiable', meaning if they don't pay it you have to sue them or just forget it.

It's little surprise that you get the same 'some other department' stonewall internally that Dell customers get.

If you file a grievance with TX Workforce Commission, Dell HAS to respond to it. If that's true of Texas, it's got to be true of everywhere.
