Well my answer to the question is already in th subject line. They actually make people redundant that are our sick for half a year now, I wonder how they are supposed to find a new job. Just imagine the discussion with staffing department of a potential employer 'And do you think that you are fit to start working for us','uhh well probably I have been out sick for a while now but we cold give it a try', a fat chance for them to get back into work.
The redundancies hit 2 guys of our department and guess what both were on the sick list but that was not the reason to pick those two I was assured by HR...

That HR says it, assures you that WAS the reason. They wouldn't say ANYthing if they weren't lying.

Whatever HR tells you, reverse it completely and there's your answer. The same rule applies to anything Management says to you.

Looks like the OST team will be gone shortly as well. Confirmed that another 2 people had to leave today. They are working through a contractor and there monthly contract won't we renewed next month.

Well doesn't wonder me too badly but I would have thought that they kept you guys a little longer. There is two reasons I can think of first would be they have other resources in place somewhere else or they don't bother about not having a buffer anymore. I guess we shall see how it plyas out over the next month or two.
