Dell complaints

I currently own an Inspirion 518. It has been less than a year since I bought it. Here were the original specs:

300W
Intel GMA 3100
Intel Dual Core 2 Processor 2.66 GhZ
4 GB RAM

Because I knew DELL would fail me later on, I revised some of the equipment known to make the computer fail for example:

XFX GeForce 9600 512 MB (I have only one PCI Express x16)
500W
PCI cooler (fans 1,400 RPM, sounds less than 19 decibels)

This isn't a major problem (of which I'm going to write) but I am pissed off because the Internet support for DELL just sucks major balls. These guys don't even know how to type good English. The first time I went in there, some dude couldn't even type correct grammatical English that I would had known he would had failed in elementary school.

I am very ashamed of myself because I went in there the second time, trying to look for reliable service. I was trying to replace the chassis fan or the fan that sticks on the back iron wall of my computer (its above the PCI slots) and I went in there and asked what was the correct fan size. Now to justify my logging in on that chatroom, there was literally no fan saying in the damn DELL book and that Google searching wasn't helping. Literally nothing at all.

To summarize, I went ahead with his advice, bought a 120mm fan, got it today, went inside my DELL tower, and found out obviously the fan would not even fit. That damn guy probably didn't even pull out a record out all.

As for the fan that couldn't fit on the back of the tower, I had to make ends meet and now that big fan is attached to the DELL iron plate wall from where I take out the iron plate to see my motherboard. This is my first experience having a DELL computer and I am ashamed at DELL. To be honest, I ain't going to buy DELL computers anymore.

I knew this guy was from India when I came in, no doubt. The name says it all. I can't believe I fell for it. Inspirion 518 will be my last computer. And he probably wanted to screw me off cause I told him that I wasn't paying my components on the DELL site. Like hell I would. Screw it. Even though my 518 is working now, I am scared of what's going to happen in the years to come. Screw it DELL, you hire cheap workers, you lose at LIFE!!

(If someone could tell me the actual size fan for the chassis for the Inspirion 518, I appreciate it, thanks)

Measure the one you have in inches. Convert measurement to mm on Google. The format is: x inches = mm. Round the answer to the nearest fan size.

The problem's over. It was actually 80/92 mm fan. I'm glad I replaced my fan because the one that I bought blows out 5X air more than the Foxconn fan they made. With only half a volt and .61 CFM, you could barely feel anything from the hole...

This fan, I feel something. Therefore DELL ain't going to rip me off now hahahaha. Cooling systems are a check

I doubt if the person on the other end of the phone knows what's a "fan" and a "newegg".

I think I said this in a different thread but somehow an Indian guy from DELL just called me earlier this morning and asked about my case fan. I'm surprised Dhell would go at great lengths just to convince me to buy the case fan Dhell provides. I denied him the opportunity and I just shut him off. I'm just glad I wasn't screwed around again.

Tip: DO NOT GIVE A REAL PHONE NUMBER WHEN YOU'RE NOT REALLY IN TROUBLE. =D
